It's essential for us to start by clarifying expectations and needs. Every project is unique.

Our project process consists of 3 parts, which are described in more detail below.

The process

1. Drawing and quotation / consultation

Vinoteca drawings / The process

There are many paths to the goal of building a wine room. We can help you, whether you're just in the exploratory phase, want us to supply you with insulated walls, cooling and furnishings, or if you only want certain parts of this.

We are one of the country's foremost experts in the construction of wine rooms and deliver tailor-made solutions.

Sometimes our standard solutions fit. Whether you have an area you can customize for your wine room or you're looking for more info, feel free to download our wine room brochure.

However, many people want a more customized project. Such projects often start with you sending us a sketch and some photos of what you envision your wine cellar to look like. Send us a sketch of where you plan to put your wine racks/wine cellar together with some photos of the area.

We need a simple sketch with H + W + L as well as the door's location and direction of travel and any projections such as pipes or edges.

Here is an example of such a sketch:

What we do

Once we've made contact, the next step is to decide what services you need from us. Some people just want to discuss which shelving solutions are most practical, while others have larger projects with space for several thousand bottles of wine.

The solutions people need are as unique as the wine rooms we build. That's why we've created a booking page where you can arrange simple consulting sessions, wine room drawings and inspections.

Booking

If you're just wondering about a few simple things, you can of course also just call or send an email. You'll find our contact details at the bottom of the page.

Consultant for larger projects

In addition to the services you can read about on our booking pages, we are also happy to take on consultancy assignments for larger projects. For example, we're happy to share our knowledge when you're renovating or building a new restaurant or hotel. Feel free to contact us for further details.

2. Implementation

After approval and any adjustments to the quote, we will be able to recommend one of our experienced partners for the construction of the wine room into a turnkey room. The experienced craftsmen assemble your wine room and install the cooling motor. This is followed by the installation of shelving, refrigeration, glass, doors and any decorations so that you get the desired design and expression for your room. Responsibility is a relationship that is managed between the craftsmen and you.
Vinoteca Vinkjellere AS is not involved in this process.

If you want to build yourself or with your carpenters, you can order components from our online store. Vinoteca accepts consultancy assignments in connection with advice on insulation and cooling technology by agreement for consultancy assistance of NOK 1550, - including VAT per hour, minimum 5 hours. Travel, board and lodging are additional. Your carpenters are responsible for technically correct execution in relation to insulation, moisture and cooling, etc.

Notes: Installation of our cooling machines requires a thorough understanding of the cooling machine manual and how the room is to be constructed. Any room that is not insulated according to the requirement specification with photo documentation will be excluded from any warranty.

3. Service and maintenance

We will follow you up once a year with a filter change, but you may need to check your filter more often than this. You can create a filter agreement on our website here

Drain hose, temperature and humidity are other factors you should check from time to time until you have learned the functionality of your wine cellar. A clogged filter will result in a loss of warranty and a potentially broken machine.
